AVID Experience

Flight is a trip taken by some sort of air craft. The Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) were women pilots of World War 2. These pilots were special because they were women, and the first women pilots to fly in the military. WASP were trained to fly non-combat missions, to pick up men who were in combat missions. One of these women are Jacquilene Cochran. When World War 2 started, women were able to become a part of the Civilian Pilot Training Program. Nancy Harkness Love and Jackie Cochran formed Women Airforce Service Pilots, on August 5, 1943.
