The Wright Brothers were well-known for inventing and building the first successful plane on December 17, 1903. The Wright Brothers real names were Orville Wright and Wilbur Wright. Orville was born in Dayton, Ohio on August 19, 1871. Wilbur Wright was born in Millville, Indiana on May 30, 1912. The Wright Brothers created many things such as three-axis control. In 1878 their father brought home a toy helicopter. That toy helicopter made them become interested in planes. In 1889 Wilbur helped design a printing press with his brother Orville.
